Please join us for our monthly meeting telecom. Let’s discuss events at the ESIP Winter Meeting <https://2020esipwintermeeting.sched.com/> and our next steps for 2020.

Tom Moran/AHC sponsored a side meeting of the SISE GIS working group on the Monday preceding the meeting in Bethesda to discuss status and next steps for ORLs. Tom also participated in the ESIP meeting.

Karen and Dave scheduled a side meeting with NASA GIBS and LANCE representatives to discuss ways to identify and test near-real time products. Tom asked us to head up a new group to bring in images to the SISE for evaluation to support use cases. He sees an opportunity for new image data, matched to use cases, and provide user feedback especially for federally funded data products. This is a terrific opportunity for ESIP to “put data to work” for the disasters community.

We had an ORL poster and discussed ways that the process to assign ORLs establishes trust to use data .

The Thursday Plenary focused on projects and technology for putting data to work for disasters.
