[Esip-discovery] April 17th ESIP Discovery Cluster Telecon Invitation

Hi Discovery Cluster email list subscribers,

  I'm planning the ESIP Discovery Cluster telecon<https://www.esipfed.org/event/discovery-13/> on April 17th at 3PM EDT, taking notes from the Collaboration of the Year award given to the Information Quality Cluster at the ESIP 2025 winter meeting.  In their acceptance of the award, which you can view on Youtube<https://youtu.be/jNMSTomb8BQ?list=PL8X9E6I5_i8iC7fiRF6YcEeHqvB1qqnsD&t=1186>, the IQC co-leads noted a few secrets to success of the IQC.  Two take aways were their ability to recruit a core team of 5 to ten committed team members, and their pattern of team leadership where co-leads could to step-up and step back as the team covered a broad range of topics.

  Keeping this in mind, I would like to solicit a discussion with members of the ESIP community interested in contributing to the Discovery Cluster.  Please come to learn about three "seed" topics listed on the Discovery Cluster Wiki page<https://wiki.esipfed.org/Discovery_Cluster>>Get Involved>Current Activities section.  Also, please feel free to come to this month's telecon to suggest new directions for the Discovery Cluster, especially those that involve collaboration with other ESIP Clusters and Committees.

  The anticipated outcome of this telecon is to line up a series of topics and presenters for the remainder of the year, and to identify the Discovery Cluster's core group members to help build momentum and share leadership of the team since it's not advisable to "go it alone."
