Hello discovery cluster listserv,

This month the discovery cluster is speaking with Jitu Kumar of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory to learn about an international system to catalog climate data, the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF, https://esgf-metagrid.cloud.dkrz.de/search). This catalog includes climate products that are cited in governmental white papers and scholarly literature. One of the functions of ESGF is to generate data citation pages, which could serve as a discovery tool to disseminate related research outputs. This discussion will identify unique considerations for the management of model output, as well as general considerations to enhance Usage Based Discovery.
