[Esip-documentation] Spectral distribution as a metadata element?

There are two questions:

​Does anyone have a use case of describing spectral distribution of data in
metadata records, especially for use or discovery metadata elements?

Is this an ISO recommended metadata element, if it is in ISO at all?
