[Esip-documentation] ESIP Winter 2018 Meeting Sessions Ideas and October Cluster Meeting

All,

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the meeting last week because of travel. Sorry about that…

I was talking with Sean and the email he sent out misinterpreted this email as being about granule metadata. What I was actually interested in was parameter metadata. ESDIS is currently winding up the UMM-Var so this is very timely… it also helps us differentiate between legacy discovery dialects and more modern dialects that allow much more variable related content…

Is this change acceptable to the group?

Ted

Kaylin et al.,

I was thinking that a session about documenting granules/parameters might be timely…

Hi Documentation Cluster!

Happy fall! We hope this email finds you well. This may seem hard to believe but it is time to start planning the documentation cluster sessions for the Winter 2018 meeting. ESIP meetings are a place to share what you have been working on and to receive valuable feedback on your work. We’d very much like for the documentation cluster sessions to reflect what you as a cluster are interested in and are working on. With that goal in mind, we invite you to send us your ideas for sessions and to come prepared to discuss your ideas at our monthly cluster meeting on Monday, October 23rd. We look forward to hearing your session ideas and learning about all the wonderful work that you do.

Thanks,

Sean and Kaylin
