Short Summary:
The UAF International Arctic Research Center and the Scenarios Network for Alaska & Arctic Planning seek a Software Programmer & Systems Administrator to support a range of research initiatives aimed at helping the nation and the world understand and adapt to the impacts of climate change in Alaska, the Arctic, and beyond.

In this diverse position, you will help develop and maintain web-based tools, visualizations, ecosystem models, and computational infrastructure to support climate change, infrastructure, and resource management issues across Alaska and the Arctic. You will assist researchers in cutting-edge work and build solutions that will be directly utilized by land managers, policymakers, and communities. Join a team of programmers, data scientists, science communicators, and researchers to better organize and apply UAF's research knowledge and data products to real-world problems. To be considered for this position you must submit a URL to code examples (e.g. github repos) and one digital example of a work product such as a web tool or visualization in your cover letter.
