This is a reminder that the next meeting of ESIP's EnviroSensing Cluster is on 📅Tuesday, May 6th at 🕑5pm ET / 2pm PT.  Please use the Zoom link found in the ESIP Community Calendar (see below) to join the session (we update this link periodically for security). You will find our running‐notes document with our drafted agenda is in the calendar.

Featured Presentation: Alex Crookshanks

We are excited to welcome Alex Crookshanks, a Master's student in Columbia University's Earth and Environmental Engineering program. In her talk, Crookshanks will discuss methods and motivation for creating site-specific soil water retention curves, as well as her current work expanding this approach beyond the point scale. More specifically, she present her work on developing a new pedotransfer function designed to support broader spatial analyses.

Prior to graduate school, Crookshanks worked as a research technician at Indiana University, where she contributed to the development of the Regional Ecosystem Soil Hydraulic (ReESH) Project - a collaboration with AmeriFlux aimed at generating soil water retention curves for flux tower sites. The talk will include a 30 minute presentation and then time for Q&A and discussion.
