Dear colleagues,
This email is an *invitation to participate in research*on the ‘User
needs for the quality assessment of seasonal climate forecasts’ to help
shape the development of the European Copernicus Climate Change Service
(C3S <https://climate.copernicus.eu/>).
This research is part of the C3S contract ‘Quality Assessment Strategies
for Multi-Model Seasonal Forecasts’ (QA4Seas
<https://climate.copernicus.eu/quality-assurance-multi-model-seasonal-forecast-products>),
led by Dr Francisco Doblas-Reyes from the Barcelona Supercomputing
Center (BSC <https://www.bsc.es/>), and which aims to understand the
needs of users regarding the quality assessment of seasonal forecasts.
As part of QA4Seas, we are looking for experts currently using seasonal
climate forecasts or with an interest in doing so to complete an online
survey.
This survey aims to specifically provide us information that will help
finalise the Evaluation and Quality Control function (EQC
<https://climate.copernicus.eu/evaluation-and-quality-control-eqc>)
regarding the multi-model seasonal forecast product capability that will
become available through the C3S platform.
As a result, this is an opportunity for you to help tailor the final
aspects of this serviceaccording to your needs on the quality assessment
of seasonal climate forecasts.
The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and can be accessed HERE

kept anonymous and confidential. Please feel free to forward this
request to your colleagues if suitable.
