All,

I thought our cluster would be interested in the topics listed below as well. If there is an interest, we can contact Scotty and figure out how to help and/or participate.

Rama.

Subject: [Esip-envirosensing] Opportunity for Cluster international outreach - Nov 1

Dear EnviroSensors,

Our Cluster has been invited to engage the newly-formed Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) on Nov 1 with a 60-minute program of multiple short (5 min) highlights and two longer (15 min) topics. This is part of their Tech Talks series (https://www.ands.org.au/news-and-events/events/tech-talks <https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.ands.org.au%2fnews-and-events%2fevents%2ftech-talks&c=E,1,QuOuiUGqTSBqF7T730Gi4LcfX9a60CmzpQNb4RveiAzux7XdyYx-mg881V3mO_Hsc6BFB67h1VpatfxzJOUQAApPLDfAnYfrAsC_SEQtORFSd1hPo5a2MgLK&typo=1> ), and they routinely have 100+ people register for the events. The interactive international part of this is challenging, with the time of the event at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT, but remember that this will be at 8am the next morning in Australia!

Our goal will be to present ESIP EnviroSensing Cluster activities, scope, and trajectory, inside the topic set that ARDC requested:

· Near real-time autonomous quality control

· Sensor data management middleware

· Sensor data acquisition

· Sensor data quality or archiving

This is a great opportunity for international outreach, to expand our impact in the wider community, and to make contacts for international collaborations!

Renée & I would really like to see a cross-section of Cluster members participate if possible, showcasing their interests and efforts within the topic set above. If you are interested in participating and representing the Cluster, please contact us within the next 10 days (Renée F. Brown rfbrown at unm.edu, Scotty Strachan strachan at unr.edu). We will look at the responses and piece together a program to fill the 60 min session.

Best regards,

Scotty
