Hello all,

This week we will continue planning for the working session at the ESIP
Summer Meeting on creating a vocabulary decision tree/guidance document.

We will be going over the following:

1 - Identify relevant resources from this document

to be included for recommendation

2 - Identify an initial list of classification questions for vocabulary
selection, which can be revised by participants at the session, such as
these examples in the extremely preliminary agenda

 outline:

   - Does your application require multiple vocabularies?
   - Is your data cross domain?
   - Are your fields not well developed or defined?
   - Does your application likely require fields to be added?
   - Does your funding have a specific vocabulary requirement?
   - What format is your data in? E.g. netcdf should be CF?
   - Does the data already exist, or are you developing something new?
   - Is it feasible to reformat?
   - Field of oceanography (Chem, Bio, Phys, Geo)
   - Intended audience?

3 - Discuss how to include guidance on implementation

4 - Go over the session format and breakout prompts
