Hope you all are well. Time is flying by, and Thanksgiving holidays will soon be upon us. Our next monthly meeting falls during that week. As such, we have decided to cancel that meeting. We had wanted to do a November session with the Whitehouse Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP); however they are understaffed and so have invited our team to join them in a community forum (the email from their team is below). You will need to register for the forum to be held on November 7 at 1PM ET.

As part of this community update, we will discuss Biden-Harris Administration priorities as well as principles motivating the memorandum, detail the provisions of the memorandum, review the timeline for agency implementation, hear perspectives from federal agencies, and address questions from the community.
The OSTP briefing will be led by Dr. Alondra Nelson, Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director for Science and Society, and Dr. Christopher Steven Marcum, Assistant Director for Open Science and Data Policy.  Federal government perspectives will be provided by representatives from federal agencies and members of the National Science and Technology Council’s Subcommittee on Open Science, including:
