[Esip-preserve] Speaker of interest at Data Management Training Working Group Monthly call this coming Thursday, 2/2/, noon ET / 9 am PT

Hello, all:

I am happy to announce that Wade Bishop, Professor at the University of
Tennessee's Information Science School, has agreed to reprise his
presentation from the ESIP Winter 2017 meeting at the monthly Data
Management Training Working Group call this coming Thursday at 9 am Pacific,
12 noon Eastern.   Professor Bishop has been analyzing the job descriptions
of earth science data scientists for the past year or so, and will be
presenting his preliminary findings as well as soliciting feedback /
discussion for purposes of creating a larger survey to more targeted
audiences such as those having responsibilities for data stewardship and/or
data management.  Wade's work should help inform the Data Management
Training Working Group on how to proceed with defining core skills for Earth
science data professionals, one of the areas of interest for this group.
