[Esip-preserve] ESIP summer meeting plans

Hi all,

ESIP session proposals are due very soon and we don’t have a Telecon before the due date, so let’s do this on-line!

Typically this group has held a planning session at an ESIP meeting and I suspect that we really need to do that this time around, as I’ve been slow to gather ideas for tasks other than those on last week’s video report out.

We could also, I suspect, stand to do a mini-hackathon on Matt’s risk matrix. That should get a few more entries and perhaps move that project forward?

I note that currently on the agenda there are 2 proposed sessions on metadata under Ted’s cluster, a session on data at risk, a session on what does it mean to be a collection, 2 sessions on schema.org <http://schema.org/>, and a session on identifying data skills for data stewards all of which are at least somewhat relevant to this group. Since I, for one, would like to go to all of those; I suspect that we really should not submit many more stewardship related sessions.

What does this group think? Should we do a planning session? A mini-hackathon risk session? Anyone want to moderate?

Thanks,

Ruth
