Hi Thomas:
Yes, I am interested in this discussion. In collaboration with the South Carolina University, we have a testbed project for doing mappings between SWEET and ENVO using Agreement Maker Light, a mapping algorithm that had good ratings at the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative campaign.
My student produced over 400 mappings in the form of rdf triples. We are trying to figure a good way to upload them into our Semantic Portal.
If there is interest, I can have him produce automatic mappings fairly easily between the NSIDC ontologies and SWEET. This would give us a start. However, we need to move fast, as the project will run out in a couple weeks.
So please someone let me know ASAP which ontologies in SSIII would be of interest. There are currently:
Annotations.owl
Egg.owl
Ice-of-land-origin.owl
Sea-ice-concentration.owl
Sea-ice-development.owl
Sea-ice-form.owl
On the SWEET side, as there are import statements, we can use the entire SWEET.

Subject: [esip-semanticweb] Kickoff SWEET+SSIII integration discussion
Hi,
I would like to kickoff discussion on integrating SWEET ontologies with NSIDC's Semantic Sea Ice Interoperability Initiative (SSIII) ontologies. Rob Raskin started the discussion with Siri Jodha Khalsa of NSIDC a few years ago, but it never got integrated. The last email thread I have is on the discussion regarding SWEET realmCryo.owl’s representation of Drift Ice, Pack Ice, Consolidated Ice and Compact Pack Ice. Do we have enough interests to make this part of the monthly telecon discussion or should we just have a subgroup on this? Currently I have Ruth Duerr, Siri Jodha Khalsa and myself.
thanks
Thomas.
