Thank you for the responses
To answer the question "Are there other updates that could be worth incorporating at the same time?", I suppose we could ask for a complete review by the current SDW community. This would increase the likelihood of us addressing the maintenance and extension issues you've highlighted.

    Yes, the Spatial Data on the Web IG is chartered to maintain (and possibly extend) this spec, so we can certainly republish a new version of the Note with the fix.
    
    Process-wise, I need to investigate possible changes to the Status of This Document section (which currently says that the document is published by the Working Group) to note the transition to the IG. In parallel, we should issue a proper call for consensus within the IG to republish EO-QB as a Note, in order to have a public record of the group's willingness to do so.
