Hi all,
Thank you for all of your help so far with this project. Today we filled
out more of the scorecard
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NoEuCccOVgldX-_Zmpk_iNZtZn5rC7UCiGDdGSgJQzE/edit?gid=0#gid=0>
and talked through some of the points in the notes
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-JQC246R046UgoNsJDgt4ybWY_1dJPsNE9aSeXT6dc8/edit?tab=t.0>.
I encourage you to take a look at the questions that are currently in the
scorecard and notes and continue to fill out both documents and make
comments where you think is appropriate.
I'll note the addition of one new section in both documents, a "Quantitative
Worksheet
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NoEuCccOVgldX-_Zmpk_iNZtZn5rC7UCiGDdGSgJQzE/edit?gid=1042405407#gid=1042405407>".
This section is intended for initial metrics to be collected by repository
staff that will be used to answer the questions on the scorecard. One
example is "What is the total volume of metadata and data?" Feel free to
move awkward questions from other sections to this new section.
I will be periodically coming back to both documents through the week to
move more to the scorecard
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NoEuCccOVgldX-_Zmpk_iNZtZn5rC7UCiGDdGSgJQzE/edit?gid=0#gid=0>
in
preparation for next week's (second to last) meeting. I hope to have a
completed draft of the scorecard and quantitative worksheet that we can
revise at next week's meeting, and work on the text for different
scenarios. We will end with a final check and approval by all parties at
the final meeting for immediate publication and circulation through as many
repositories as we can contact.
Best,
Joseph
