[Esip-viz] Viz cluster telecon, 2/14 @ 2pm ET

Hi all,

We've had some fits and starts to our visualization cluster, but now
with the new year I think we can get underway. (I am responsible for
the fits and starts, so my apologies.)

I tossed out quite a few different concepts at our introductory
telecon in November, and we had a few people on the call in December,
and a few of us chatted at AGU, also in December. We are still trying
to figure out what we want from this group and it will take us some
time to focus. (Minutes from the November call are online at
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Visualization/Telecon_Minutes )

In the interest of giving us a place to start, I thought that at our
next telecon I would give an overview of one of my projects -- NEO
(NASA Earth Observations) -- and present what it is, the goals behind
the site, and the decisions that we have made in order to meet those
goals. Perhaps this will provide a good starting point and we can
begin to enlist others to demonstrate products, processes, or even
individual visualizations at subsequent telecons.

Hope to talk to you then.
