Dear Members and Friends of the ESIP Federation,
Two years ago tomorrow, we lost an esteemed colleague and fast friend
when Flight 77 slammed into the Pentagon. Charles S. Falkenberg
(Charley to most of us) was a brilliant man with lots of enthusiasm for
his work and what it could contribute to public understanding of our
Together, the ESIP Federation and AGU created the Falkenberg Award to
keep Charlie's spirit alive. The Charles S. Falkenberg Fund, which
enables the award, has received many gifts from ESIP partners, AGU
members and his family. I encourage Federation partners to remember
Charlie on Thursday, and to consider an additional personal or
organizational contribution at that time.
To donate, please visit http:// <http://www.agu.org/givingtoagu>
Click on Fund Drive, and follow the steps. Checks should be made
payable to AGU--please write Charles S. Falkenberg Fund on the memo
line--and mailed to AGU, 2000 Florida Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20009.
Thank you for your generosity and please take time tomorrow to remember
in your hearts Charlie and his family along with the thousands of others
who were taken from us two years ago.
