BENEFIT THE ENVIRONMENT (GLOBE) SOLICITATION
Informational Meeting/Teleconference
A new program solicitation (NSF 06-515) has been released by the
National Science Foundation (NSF) inviting proposal submissions to
establish new partnerships between GLOBE program participants and
scientists associated with Integrated Earth Systems Science Programs
(IESSP), defined as major NSF- or NASA-funded research programs related
to Earth systems science (NSF 06-515:

GLOBE is a hands-on international education and science program funded
by NASA and NSF, supported by the U.S. Department of State, and
implemented through a cooperative agreement between NASA, and the
University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.

and scientists from around the world in studying Earth Systems Science. 

Prospective Principal Investigators are invited to participate in an
informational meeting that will provide a brief overview of the new
program solicitation.  Representatives from NSF, NASA and the GLOBE
Program Office will be available to answer questions.
