Responsibilities:
This position will support the Science System Development Office (SSDO)
System Engineering Task. The candidate will serve as the subject matter
expert on web technologies to support Earth Observing System Data and
Information System (EOSDIS) websites and associated projects, prototypes,
and initiatives under the direction of the Earth Science Data and
Information Systems (ESDIS) Project Office. The candidate will provide
support as a web production manager, coordinating a web development team of
designers, developers, and quality assurance testers and external partners.
The candidate must be well versed in the application of Earth Science data
products and possess a deep understanding of web technologies, services, and
creative development tools, effective web design, and production techniques,
coupled with project management skills and experience. The candidate will be
responsible for documenting requirements; creating and managing schedules;
and coordinating all aspects of the project life-cycle. The candidate will
be relied upon for identifying new technologies and solutions, recommending
improvements and enhancements, identifying deficiencies and solutions, and
ensuring information is shared and communicated across the team and external
partners.

Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication (face-to-face,
telecons, presentations, documentation, emails). Excellent organizational,
time management, and project management skills. Able to work independently
and as part of a team, building strong working relationship with internal
team and external partners Agency and Government-wide, located across the
nation. Demonstrated analytical, engineering, and web architectural
experience. Extensive experience in web/application development.

Education & Experience:
BS or equivalent experience in natural/physical sciences
