Dear colleagues,

You are receiving this email because you have attended past NOAA AI
Workshop or expressed interest in attending this year's event. The 5th NOAA
Workshop on Leveraging AI in Environmental Sciences
<https://www.noaa.gov/ai/events/5th-noaa-ai-workshop-2023> will be fully
virtual to allow broad participation by members with diverse expertise from
government agencies, private industries, and academic organizations. This
is a reminder to register for the workshop by *15 September 2023*.

Workshop format:

Building on past successes, the three-day virtual workshop (19-21 September
2023) consists of three plenary sessions and six interactive discussion
sessions focusing on two themes: 1) *building* benchmarking frameworks for
AI research and development and 2) AI research-to-application
transition. Participants
can contribute to either one or both themes in use case-focused virtual
breakout group discussions. Video conferencing will take place in Zoom and
participants will be invited to the Slack workspace to collaborate and
discuss with others.

How to register:

The workshop will use Sched as the main resource for updated agenda and
connection information during the workshop. Please visit
https://noaaai2023.sched.com/signup to register for the workshop. A Sched
account is REQUIRED to access the agenda and Zoom connections during the
workshop.

   If you do not have a Sched account, create an account before registering
   for the workshop using your email as your username.
   -

   If you already have a Sched account, log in to your account and then
   register for the workshop.
   -

   For students and early-career attendees, select the ticket reserved for
   students and early-career professionals during the registration process.
   There may be volunteer opportunities to support breakout group activities
   for students and early-career professionals.
