[Esip-envirosensing] No July telecon. Attend our session at the summer meeting instead!

Good afternoon EnviroSensors,

In light of the summer ESIP Meeting, which is just around the corner, we will not host our regularly scheduled monthly telecon (was scheduled for tomorrow). Instead, please consider attending our Cluster-sponsored session next week.

Our session is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14th from 4:00-5:30p ET | 3:00-4:30p CT | 2:00-3:30 MT | 1:00-2:30 PT

We have a great lineup of short presentations on “Recent advances in environmental sensing for monitoring and research” (similar format to the Tech Talks we did a few months ago), plus two facilitated community discussions to engage attendee participation regarding future directions. For one, there has been much discussion and interest in our Cluster over the past year about developing hands-on workshop opportunities for learning how to design and deploy low-cost, low-power sensing and telemetry technologies. We’d love feedback from session attendees (as well as those of you who can’t make it) on how we might be able to host and fund such (virtual?) workshops in the coming year.
